Today was full of evil tree sex induced pain. I woke up seriously cranky, stuffy and sneezy with the beginnings of a sore throat and a nasty headache. I reluctantly got up and walked and fed Ozzy, then took meds and passed back out. Slept fitfully until 4pm. Not sleeping tonight it seems v.v
Headache was pretty much gone and I felt better, so I got up and dressed, nommed a snack and then put my shoes on and grabbed my light running jacket from the closet. I hadn't worn this thing in a few years, as the last time I had it on, it was too tight and uncomfortable. Figuring since I had lost weight since then, it would still be snug, but not as bad, I decided to try it. It HUNG from my body!!!! It both made me feel great and depressed. Great, as I had lost enough for it to hang like that, but depressed that I had an XXL jacket that was super tight on me at one point. I hadn't realized that I had been that big, that I had gained so much all those years back. Now I still have to wear XL tops because my chest wont allow any smaller, I am also in Medium (size 10) bottoms now! Its a great feeling to know I've come so far and makes me enthused to go even further.
So, with that newfound enthusiasm, I got the dog on his leash and off we went! It was gorgeous and warm so we walked for quite some time. I had planned to go even further, but he was getting warm and was panting. I need to make him some paw wax to help his feets as it gets warmer. By the time we got back, he was pooped and my feet hurt! Rubbed the backs raw on my shoes, I need to get some good bandaids or something to help with that. But, I am pleased! I had walked 4500 steps in that one walk! And as of right now, I've gone a total of 5042 steps for today! Super happy! Not sure what my goal for today was supposed to be, I got all mixed up lol but I will take the 4500 as my goal and aim for 5000 tomorrow!
Had a combo pizza for dinner, lots of veggies on it. Tim's been home late, so we've been eating late and I didn't want that today. Nate is coming to visit tomorrow, so Ill make something veggie like for us for dinners. Saturday I wont really have a good step count, as I will be in the car most the day again, and most of my steps will be false ones from the ride. Just means I will have to make up for it on Sunday instead!
I also cracked today and got me a diet Coke. I had no bubbly drinks at home (been drinking talking rain sparkling water), and you have to have bubbly drinks with pizza. Ill go back to bubbly water and plain water tomorrow after I go to the store.
I found some really good looking dinner salad recipes, and I cannot wait to try them. I've saved them in my Salads folder in Pinterest. They all were meat ones, so I have to find a vegetarian one for tomorrow night.
Well thats it for today, any suggestions on how to prevent rubbing on the backs of my heels is welcome!
